Essential Job Functions:

Self-motivated and independent worker are all qualities desired for this position. Willingness to accept new ideas and work under stressful conditions.    Creates and maintains the staff schedule and approves time and attendance on the non-skilled swingbed unit. Collaborates with facility leadership and healthcare providers responsible for services, as well as non-patient care support staff, i.e., Maintenance and Environmental Services staff.  Oversees the duties of the nursing staff on the unit, as well as resident care, quarterly assessments, and care planning.  Must meet the goals and objectives established by St. Luke’s Medical Center’s Governing Board and Administration. Will work a minimum of 24 hours weekly, as well as working on the floor, when needed. This is a 24 hour per week position.

Qualifications and Education

  • Degree in healthcare required

  • Two years healthcare experience preferred

  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) as required by the State of North Dakota

  • Working knowledge of quality, infection control, and scheduling preferred

  • Ability to professionally handle all human interactions

  • Posesses good judgement and creativity

  • BLS is required. Certification may be obtained within 6 months of hire.

  • Must communicate positively and effectively with staff showing support to the goals, objectives, and strategic plans, as defined by Administration
