​St. Luke’s Hospital has a position open for a part-time and full-time cook. This position is responsible for preparing and setting up food supplies and nourishment for patients, residents, and guests in accordance with recognized safety, sanitation and food-handling standards and procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
-
Prepares meals for patients, residents, staff, and guests daily.

Assists the dishwasher in returning clean dishes, pots, and pans to preparation areas.

Operates various food preparation equipment and utensils in a safe manner.

Maintains food preparation equipment and work area in a high degree of cleanliness.

Stock supplies and food items in work areas of the department

Serves food in a proper manner.

Will display exceptional customer service skills.

Uphold the department standards and expectations at all times.

Performs related duties as required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
-
High school student age 16 years and older, graduate or equivalent.
-
Previous experience in health care or nursing home food preparation is preferred.

Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Basic computer knowledge.
-
Have ability to calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings.
