Christine Knudsvig

Certified Family Nurse Practicioner

My Story

Christine was raised in Sacramento, California and relocated to Indianapolis, IN in 1990. During that time she has worked in a variety of medical practices including Pulmonology, Family Practice and Oculo-Plastic Surgery.  She obtained her undergraduate education at Ivy Tech State College. After which she worked as a Registered Nurse in both the Emergency Room of a busy trauma center and Critical Care settings.  She also obtained certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner while working in the Emergency Department to help those who had suffered abuse.  She obtained her  graduate education at Indiana University School of Nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.   After completing her Masters Degree, she has worked in a variety of roles including Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Critical Care, Hospitalist Medicine and Pulmonary Transplant specialty care.

Christines husband Curtis Knudsvig had a strong family connection to North Dakota. They moved here to be closer to Curt’s family. His parents live in Grand Forks, but his mother grew up in Crosby.

Christine has two grown children and has joint custody of her two granddaughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with the girls, reading, and staying active.

Christine has become an important part of the community, bringing her knowledge, skills and comfort to those who need her in Crosby.  She became a nurse, all those many years ago, to help others and looks forward to serving you here at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
