Divide County Ambulance District is looking for a knowledgeable, professional Operations Manager who is self-motivated, a team player, and is able to provide emergency care for patients in a medical, trauma or environmental emergency. The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, prioritizing, assigning and directing daily operations including inventory, fleet management, financial management, budgeting, reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will have basic knowledge of personnel management and excellent communication skills. This position is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift. However, candidate must be able and willing to cover shifts and runs if patient care and staffing require it. Relocation to Crosby, ND is desirable

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages staffing schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage

  • Function as a crew paramedic or EMT

  • Submit run reports and Patient Care Reports

  • Submit reports for reimbursement

  • Maintain training and certification records of personnel.

  • Schedule, deliver, coordinate, and supervise training for district personnel

  • Order, maintain, and inventory supplies and equipment

  • Monitor and schedule maintenance and calibration of equipment

  • Prepare and submit payroll

  • Assist and advise board in development of annual budgets through monitoring expenditures, forecasting funds, identifying grant sources.

  • Administers the program’s budgets, grants, and professional services contracts.

  • Prepares and submits grant proposals.

  • Day to day liaison with St. Luke’s Hospital

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Education

  • Two Years EMS Management Experience Preferred

  • Current North Dakota EMT-Paramedic or Advanced EMT Certification, Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications

  • Valid North Dakota Driver’s License; Possess a Satisfactory Driving Record

  • Basic Computer and Radio Use Knowledge

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Basic computer knowledge.
